London four-piece Automotion have released their new single, ‘Liquify’. It’s centred on a grating labyrinth of riffs that craft an edgy instrumental that leaves you unable to relax. Despite the intensity of the track’s sound design, Patrick James Fitzroy’s mixing allows plenty of space for an eclectic vocal performance to piece through the manic texture. “The inspiration for the track came from an old school Jungle dance track yet through the process of writing has become so far removed from its influence that it has a life of its own.” You can check out Automotion’s ever-growing sound on their recent EP, Artificial Ascent. -Dan Peeke
